Since the beginning of December we have been working on a minecraft server with a roleplay feel. As previously our minecraft servers where just play about contructions. We have, we feel a working server ready for test play.

Roleplay:- Scenerio

As you join the server you are transported to a isolated room where you are informed to read the rules (/rules) and then accept them if you understand (/acceptrules) you cannot accept them without reading the rules first. If you don't agree then this isn't the server for you. Past the rules room you are then teleported into prison, were you start off with the rank of 'scum' The idea is that you work in the prison mines and wood yards selling/trading the resources you gather up to make money to progress through the ranks until you finally earn your freedom. 

Work areas:-

There are a few work areas to help build up money, there is a mining area which is filled with valuable ores which can be refined into sellable materials. 90% of the mine is stone, which when mined give cobblestone this can be sold in stacks, or refine back to stone for use with player owned cells or houses. There is also a percentage of Iron ore, Gold ore, Diamond, Lupis Larus and Redstone. The major part of the mine will require an 'Overseer' to refresh, but there are regenerating chunks of ore as well. (This area is currently pvp*

Another work are is the Wood yard, this really is the best place to start out as you can build the tools you need to gather resources. The server is configured to make a tree act a bit realistic in the fact if you chop the trunks bottom block the entire tree will fall, and the leaves will slowly degrade dropping items such as, Apples, Golden Apples (small chance) Cocoa beans (used to make cookies, small chance of drop) and tree saplings. The server will also automatically replant and regrow the tree. (This area is currently pvp*)

Fishing Spots, Another way to gather food is fishing. You can purchase a fishing rod from the shop (This area is currently non-pvp*)

Shops:-

At the moment there are two shops on the server, one is a general store used to buy and sell resources and another is a blackmarket used for player trade and access to 'illegal' items** The blackmarket is located in the area called 'The Shades' this area is only accessable at night time. This area will be off limit to 'Screws' and 'Scum'  There is plans for a shop outside of the prison for those who have earned their freedom and 'mercs'

Ranks/Classes:-

Law Brakers

Scum:- Starting rank, has access to basic areas such as the lower working areas and the general store.

Prisoner:- This rank can be purchased for 10000 Plex, you will gain access to 'The Shades' and will be allowed to purchase player owned cells.

Convict:- This rank can be purchased for  100000 Plex, (planned, access to a mine with more valuable ores)

Civilian:- This rank can be purchased for 1000000 Plex This earns you your freedom and access to build plots out side of prison (you are also allowed to attack escapees) You may also be promoted to join the 'Peacekeepers' (Mercs/Hunters) 

 

Peace Keepers

Screws:- This rank can be obtainable via the donations system. or granted by an Overseer. The Role of a Screw is to keep the law brakers in check and enforce Prison Rule. They will request for swords if law brakers are wielding them. It is expected that the law breaker will hand it over without question. If not the Screw may / will punish them. This can be either be putting them in restricted confinment or killing them. Law breakers will not complain about items lost or they may be muted for a period of time. Screws will be granted access to /kit screw which will provide chainmail armor and a diamond sword plus 20 cooked chicken.

Mercs:- This rank can be obtainable via the donations system. or granted by an Overseer. Mercs will be allowed to explore outside the prison and will be expected to look for escapee's, They will be granted access to the Merc area which is located just outside the prison. They will also have notification on when someone escapes the prison. Mercs will be granted 1 diamond set on promotion, must PM an overseer for the set. (set includes Diamond Helm, Diamond Chestplate, Diamond Legs, Diamond Boots and a Diamond Sword) For donations over £15/$20 will also gain 10 Diamond Blocks. as a bonus.

Overseer:- This rank is not obtainable via any method. The Overseer may slaughter anyone for the sheer giggles. Especially if they feel to be nagged to give items. The Overseer does not tolorate begging.

 

Prison Break:-

There are a number of routes of escape all which will require some thought and co-operation between fellow law-breakers. We have tried to make it challenging and fun, with labyrinths and switch puzzles. There are some weather triggered escapes as well. the labyrinths have traps and pitfalls too, with the odd monster thrown in. If you do manage to escape you will then need to avoid the mercs who will no doubt be quick on you trail. They will be areas which will be classed as a safe zone, but these areas will also be a no build area there will also be some random landmines planted about the area just outside of the prison, so watch your step.

Rare Items¹

£5 / $8  Rare Pack 1 - 1 Stack(64) glowstone, 5x Blaze Rods, 20 (can be exchanged for levels) If you have a cell this will be delivered in a chest, providing space is available.

 

Features:-

Able to store levels as blocks. (Not available as 'Scum' rank)
Commands: /bl block (number or levels to store) /bl level (number of to convert to levels)
Example:
/bl block 3 will turn 3 levels in to
/bl level 3 will convert 3 into levels

XP from mining ores. When mining ores there is a chance of some experience being dropped which should help in leveling the enchantment bar.

Strange Tools. there is a small chance of a player finding a Strange Tool which gives a player a benefit in gathering resources.
